Mix together 2 1/2 cups blackberries with 1 cup sugar. Let stand for 20 minutes until fruit syrup forms.
Mix together 1 cup flour, 2 t. baking powder, 1 cup milk, and 1/2 cup melted butter.
Spread batter in bottom of pie pan or 8 x 8 dish. Spoon blackberries over top.
Bake at 375 for 45-55 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
